Sue Friedberg is co-chair of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group. She advises clients about the rapidly evolving standards of care for safeguarding confidential information and responding effectively to security incidents that threaten to compromise our client’s valuable or protected information. Sue’s practice includes working with clients to assess their data security and privacy protection risks and capabilities by advising U.S. clients about rapidly evolving privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act and the General Data Protection Regulation. She assists clients in building, implementing, and updating their information security programs, incident response plans, vendor contracts and due diligence procedures, and presenting customized training programs and tabletop simulation incident response exercises for clients. Sue participates in continuing legal education programs presented by the ABA, Practicing Law Institute, Professional Education Network, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Aon Large Law Firm Symposium and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2020 edition for Privacy and Data Security Law.
