Steve Butkovich

Steve Butkovich is Chief Product Officer at CPI Security Systems, one of North America’s largest and
most respected security providers. In this role, he leads product strategy and innovation across CPI’s
residential and commercial offerings, delivering integrated solutions that include intrusion detection,
access control, video, and smart home automation. CPI Security serves customers throughout the
Southeast, leveraging advanced technologies such as two-way voice, video verification, and remote
video monitoring. Steve is the Immediate Past President and an Executive Board Member of The
Monitoring Association (TMA), reflecting his long-standing leadership and influence within the
professional monitoring industry. His career at CPI Security began in 1999 as Director of Customer
Service and Central Station, and he has since held a series of senior leadership roles, including Vice
President of Information Technology and Chief Technology Officer, before assuming his current position
as Chief Product Officer. With more than two decades of industry experience, Steve has been deeply
involved in advancing security technology, standards, and best practices. He has held leadership and
board roles with The Monitoring Association and the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP) and
has contributed extensively to committees focused on emerging technologies, education and industry
standards.
