Ken Gill founded CPI Security in 1991 by combining an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for protecting others. Today, the company has become the largest privately held security company in the Southeast and is considered best in class while maintaining consistent growth and low customer attrition.  As the company’s Founder and CEO, Ken remains fully engaged in the day-to-day operations and continuously builds on the company’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Through his vision, CPI’s new 140,000 square-foot headquarters was completed in 2019. CPI is honored to be recognized as a two-time SDM Dealer of the Year, Marvel Award recipient, Central Station of the Year, ranked in the top 10 of the SDM 100 rankings and consistently voted one of the Top 25 Best Places to Work in the Carolinas.  Ken is a founding member and past Chairman of the Charlotte Police Foundation and was instrumental in creating the Greensboro, NC, and Greenville, SC, Police Foundations. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Regional Alliance, Charlotte Sports Foundation and 2020 RNC Host Committee, Head of Security. He and his wife, Malinda, are personally involved in numerous philanthropic initiatives, including honorary chairs overseeing the construction of the Gill Family YMCA, projected to be completed in 2021.
