Rob Jones is a Shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of Buchanan, where he serves as co-leader of
the firm’s Security Alarm, Fire and Medical Alert practice group. Rob has been a corporate lawyer for
over 25 years, the last 20 of which have been devoted primarily to representing clients in the security
alarm industry. Rob takes the lead in representing clients in acquisitions and sales of alarm and video
surveillance companies and similar significant transactions. In addition, Rob drafts and negotiates various
contracts, including dealer agreements, customer contracts, monitoring and other service agreements.
He also represents lenders and borrowers in financing alarm companies. Rob holds a B.A. from Dickinson
College and a J.D. from Villanova Law School.
