Mike Haislip graduated from the University of Tennessee and joined Deloitte and Touche as a CPA in the audit group. He spent the next 27 years in the cable industry beginning with Cox Communications and later serving as President of Star Cable Associates, President of Armstrong Cable, and Sr. Vice President Great Lakes Division of Charter Communications. Mr. Haislip joined Monitronics as Chief Operating Officer in 2005. When Monitronics founder, Jim Hull, retired in March, 2006, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Haislip to the position of CEO and President. Monitronics was acquired by Ascent Capital in December, 2010. Most recently, under Mike’s leadership Monitronics completed the purchase of Security Networks, adding over 200K accounts and increasing Monitronics account base to over 1,000,000 customers.
